We’re looking for a mechanical engineer to join the Avular Team! 

We’re looking for a skilled and creative Mechanical Engineer to help us grow our team as we continue to expand our robotic product portfolio. You’ll play a key role in developing our products from concept to production by combining your strong mechanical design skills with a system-level understanding of complex products.

At Avular we design and build our robotic platforms and products fully in-house, from early concept design to detailed engineering, production engineering, and final product validation. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will work closely with our electronics, software, and control engineers as well as our operational team, while taking an active role in shaping both the mechanical and product design aspects of our products. You’ll create innovative designs that balance functionality, manufacturability, user experience, and aesthetics.

We’re looking for a medior to senior Mechanical Engineer with experience in the product development of mechatronic or industrial products. A background in Industrial Design Engineering or Mechanical Engineering is required and experience in bringing products to market is a strong plus. This is a broad and hands-on role, where you’ll work on a wide range of challenging projects, from developing our own robotic products to creating custom solutions for our clients.

YOUR MISSION

• Design mechanical parts and create assemblies for robotic and mechatronic products using 3D CAD modeling (Siemens NX)

• Translate functional and user requirements into robust, manufacturable, and aesthetically balanced designs

• Create detailed design documentation.

• Build your own designs, validate on relevant aspects and implement improvements for the best possible outcome

• Collaborate closely with other disciplines to ensure seamless integration between mechanics, electronics, control, software and production

• Provide production and suppliers with technical drawings and assembly documentation

• Contribute to product certification and ensure designs meet safety and quality standards

• Take ownership of your designs throughout the full product lifecycle, from concept to production.

• Keep an eye on the project's timeline, risk and opportunities.

WHO YOU ARE 

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design Engineering, Industrial Product Design (IPO) or similar

• 5+ years of experience in the development of industrial and/or consumer products

• Strong proficiency in 3D CAD software (Siemens NX preferred) and experience managing design documentation

• Experience with PLM/PDM systems (Teamcenter is a strong plus) and familiarity with ERP systems

• You have a broad skill set: Concepting, prototyping, detailed designing, productizing and production support

• You have experience with designing parts for injection molding, sheet metal and machining

• Understanding of DFM/DFA, tolerancing and material selection

• Hands-on and proactive attitude, with the ability to move easily between design, testing and practical side of implementation

• Bonus points for experience in robotics, injection molding or structural design, analysis, and simulation of mechanical systems
