Avular has won the Tech Hero Award at CIODAY2025

At CIODAY2025, Avular was announced as the winner of the Tech Hero Award, a recognition presented annually to companies that set a new standard in digital excellence and technological innovation. CEO Albert Maas accepted the award on behalf of Avular, following his pitch earlier that day.

The Tech Hero Award highlights organizations that not only build on a strong digital foundation, but also innovate at speed, adapt to change, and help shape the future of technology. This year’s jury selected Avular for its consistently executed vertical integration strategy and its robotics platform that enables other companies to innovate on top of Avular’s autonomy.

A recognition of Avular’s robotics vision

For Avular, this recognition underscores the strength of our robotics vision: creating autonomous mobile robotic systems that make real-world impact, that are easy for every operator to use, and that are built on a fully European supply chain.

“Vertical integration has been part of our DNA from day one,” says Albert Maas. “By owning our full technology stack, from hardware to software to AI, we retain true strategic autonomy. It allows us to move faster, design better, and ultimately help our customers accelerate their own robotic developments.”

This philosophy forms the foundation that enables customers across industries to deploy robotics faster, safer, and more effectively.

Standing among visionary companies

With this win, Avular joins the list of previous Tech Hero Award recipients, including Picnic, CM.com, and Mews, companies widely recognized for reshaping their industries through digital excellence. “We are proud to stand in such inspiring list,” says Albert. “It motivates us even further to push the world of mobile robotics forward.”

This year’s nominees, Hyfen and QuantWare, were also recognized for their innovation in digital pension accessibility and quantum computing technologies. Avular congratulates both organizations for their groundbreaking work and inspiring contributions.

Onward

The Avular team extends a sincere thank you to CIODAY, the jury, our partners, and everyone supporting our mission. This recognition strengthens our commitment to continue advancing accessible, modular, and cutting-edge robotics, enabling the next generation of robotic solutions across industries.
