We're looking for an Electronics Engineer to join the Avular Team!
As an Electronics Engineer at Avular, you design and analyse the electrical systems at the heart of our robots (PCBAs, cable harnesses, and larger electronic assemblies), and carry them from first architecture through prototyping, validation, and certified production. You build test tooling, evaluate prototypes, provide technical support, and ensure every product meets our quality and safety standards as we continue to expand our robotic product portfolio.
We build our robots as a fully integrated company and design our PCBs in-house, from first architecture to final product validation. As an Electronics Engineer, you bring electrical systems from concept to certified, production-ready hardware, paired with a working grasp of mechanical design principles and low-level firmware, so you can collaborate across the team and bridge the gap between software and hardware.
🚀 YOUR MISSION
Design versatile electrotechnical circuits: mixed-signal MCU boards, high-power (battery) systems, high-speed (USB3/PCIe) systems, motor drivers, GPS, and other RF communication modules
Plan and execute tests alongside your fellow engineers
Deliver design documentation: validation plans and reports, design-decision records, and design-review documents
Conduct prototyping and design validation in the electronics laboratory
Prepare, plan, and execute certification activities
Oversee production at Avular and at partners, including assembly manuals and technical product drawings
Define work breakdowns and effort estimates across the various electronics designs
⚡ WHO YOU ARE
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering
At least 1 year of professional electronics engineering experience with a full design cycle behind you
Strong proficiency in ECAD tools (Altium preferred) across the full design cycle
Hands-on experience with board validation processes
Experience with complex, high-speed circuit design
Experience with high-power batteries and Battery Management Systems (BMS)
Familiarity with C/C++ and Python for debugging
A working understanding of mechanical design principles
Extensive experience writing technical documentation
Exceptional attention to detail, precision, and self-organisation
Working proficiency in spoken and written English
Bonus: CE certification, design for EMC, SI/PDN analyses, RF design, or SPICE simulation
